Volleyball: Practical phase of teaching’s methodology in primary and secondary schools starts today

Ribeira Grande, Aug 16 (Inforpress) – The practical phase of the course on “methodology of volleyball education in primary and secondary schools”, organized by the Cabo Verdean Volleyball Federation (FCV), to benefit teachers from all over the country, starts today in Ribeira Grande.

This training course has a total duration of 35 days, with 30 days taught in the e-learning system, based on the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) digital platform and five days of practical course, which will take place in Ribeira Grande, from the August 16th to 20th.

The course arises from the observation that several schools, at a national level, do not teach volleyball in Physical Education classes and, therefore, the FCV sought to implement specific training, which “did not turn out as expected since the methodology was not the most proper”.

“Therefore, we asked FIVB for the partnership to carry out this course as a way of adopting a methodology that would enhance the success of teaching the sport”, said the president of the Federation, António Rodrigues, convinced that “this training will give to teachers technical means for the teaching of volleyball in primary and secondary schools”.
