São Vicente: PAICV says that Binter is a “failed bet” of the Ulisses Correia e Silva Government

Mindelo, Jul 10 (Inforpress) – The CPR’s Chairman of São Vicente do PAICV, Alcides Graça, said today in Mindelo that the Government’s bet on the Binter airline has “failed” in several areas and requested “immediate solutions” to the Prime Minister.

The head of the Regional Political Commission (CPR) of the African Party of Independence of Cabo Verde (PAICV), in a press conference, justified the statement with “failures” in the transportation of patients, air transport of cargo and goods, and now according to him in the transport of passengers between the islands of Sal and São Vicente.

According to the same source, they are “problems” that affect the population and economy of the island, which “will not tolerate any more”, and said to the Prime Minister that’s “enough of promises” to São Vicente.

For Alcides Graça, “it is dramatic” the news of unavailability of seats on the Binter flights on the Sal-São Vicente route until August 13, with “all the consequences” that this represents for the “economic dynamics” of the island, business travel agencies and international and domestic tourism.
