Mindelo, Mar 13 (Inforpress) – The head of the Judiciary Police (PJ) Anti-Drug Brigade, Inspector Rui de Pina, said today that PJ found “many difficulties” to get to the drug hidden in the Rich Harvest sailboat from Brazil, in August of last year.
These statements were provided to the court during the hearing and trial this afternoon of a case in which four defendants are in custody, three of them Brazilians and one French, indicted on high-risk drug trafficking offenses and criminal association.
“Just to get an idea of the difficulty in getting to the drug, we started the search around 10:00 a.m. and we only got to the drug after 5:00 p.m.,” said the PJ inspector, explaining that the drug was hidden in a location with “hard access”.
To get there, he continued, it was necessary to remove a tank of 600 liters of fiber, which was under a mattress, a wooden floor and another of iron, before reaching the lid of the tank where the drug was “already in the hull of the ship “.
