Assomada, August 16 (Inforpress) – About 70 million escudos will be applied over the next two years in the electric power project aimed at “large localities” of Santa Catarina, in the countryside of Santiago, in order to cover the county with 100%.
These are the “great localities” and with economic potential, especially those that do not yet have electricity, such as Ribeira dos Engenhos, Pilão dos Engenhos, Mato Gégé, Librão, João Bernardo e Travessa Baixo.
The information was given today to Inforpress by the mayor of Santa Catarina, José Alves Fernandes, and he informed that the survey work is already underway, predicting that in the first quarter of 2019 there will be physical works of the project financed by the Government.
According to the mayor, this will give energy to some “small localities”, but according to him, are cases in which the works are going “more easily” and require less resources, having reiterated the commitment to have the 100% of the municipality with electric power by the end of his mandate in 2020.
