Praia, Mar 7 (Inforpress) – The President of the Republic, Jorge Carlos Fonseca, on Tuesday sent a message of condolences to his counterpart in Burkina Faso for the victims of the terrorist attack occurred on Friday, 02 , causing the deaths of dozens of people.
In the message, the Cabo Verdean head of state “expressed condolences to the families of the victims and to the brotherly people of Burkina Faso” and stated that it was with sadness and deep consternation that he was aware of the “ignoble terrorist attack” in the city of Ouagadougou, causing the death of 28 people.
“The horrific attacks in Ouagadougou are an unequivocal illustration of how we should continue to combine all possible efforts in our subregion and in international forums so that we can find the necessary support to stop all attempts at intimidation by terrorists” he said.
Jorge Carlos Fonseca encouraged his counterpart, Roch Marc Christian Kaboré, and the Government to continue fighting to end the climate of fear that terrorists intend to impose on populations, predicting rapid improvements for the injured people.
