President of the Republic participates in Lisbon today in the funeral of the surgeon Helena Lopes da Silva

Praia, Sep 11 (Inforpress) – The President of the Republic, Jorge Carlos Fonseca, attends a funeral ceremony in memory of the Cabo Verdean surgeon and member of the Council of the Republic, Helena Lopes da Silva, who died on Saturday, 8th, at 69 years of age.

Jorge Carlos Fonseca, who is already in the Portuguese capital where he traveled this morning, participates in the ceremony that will take place at 6:00 pm in the Santa Maria Hospital auditorium where the surgeon Helena Lopes da Silva has been working for more than 30 years, which will also be attended by the President of the Portuguese Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa and several other individuals.

Relatives of the ill-fated contacted by Inforpress, reported that on Sunday had been a wake with the presence of many friends and colleagues, and the funeral is due by the end of Wednesday morning.
