Praia, Mar 27 (Inforpress) – The Minister of Health and Social Security, Arlindo do Rosário said Monday in Parliament that the government will invest 9 million euros (about 992 million escudos) in the acquisition of medical-hospital equipment.
The ruler passed this information during the question session to the Government in Parliament, when asked by Members about lack of hospital equipment, acquisition and reinforcement of teams of doctors.
Arlindo do Rosário assured that for the acquisition of medical equipment, the Government will have the Belgium support through a financing that will be signed already in April, during the visit that the Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs will make to Cape Verde.
According to the Minister of Health and Social Security, the medical and hospital equipment is budgeted at 9 million euros (about 992 million escudos) and includes X-ray, laboratory imaging, physiotherapy and oral health and will be allocated in all the structures, health centers and regional hospitals of the country.
