Praia, Oct 4 (Inforpress) – The president of the National Statistical Institute (INE), Osvaldo Borges, said today in Praia City that the diagnosis of the National Statistical System (SEN) is the main component of the National Strategy for Development of Statistics (ENDE).
In his opening address for the seminar presenting the results of the diagnosis of the SEN to ENDE 2017-2021, with a view to its validation, Osvaldo Borges said that INE will present, during the meeting, all the statistical information products with a view to receive from the institutions and partners suggestions and contributions to improve the document.
“The diagnosis of the National Statistical System is open to contributions and, consequently, its validation,” said the INE’s President, stating that the National Statistical System is also preparing its third Strategy Agenda, 2017-2021.
According to Osvaldo Borges, the process of elaborating the Strategy Agenda, 2017-2021 is being done in articulation with the national documents, especially the 2017/2021 Strategic Plan for Sustainable Development, regional agenda (Agenda 2063) and international agenda (Agenda 2030) to allow the monitoring and evaluation of the indicators included in these agendas.
