Brava Island has a “huge potential” for development – Olavo Correia

Nova Sintra, Jan 9 (Inforpress) – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Olavo Correia said during his visit to Brava that the island has “enormous potential” for development in several areas.

According to the minister, the island has a “great future” ahead and, therefore, asked not to think on “a Brava disconnected from the rest of the country, discriminated and has no access”.

According to Correia, Brava is an island with an “enormous potential for development, a huge tourist potential with high potential in its own diaspora in terms of investments in the sector, with cultural potential, at historic level,” but also an island that has the conditions to promote an international scale, said the deputy prime minister, who believes that the island presents “a great differential” in relation to the others.

According to him, the objective is to create conditions to attract private investment, making the island “100% renewable” in energy, “selling a narrative” from a cultural and historical point of view, but also from the environmental point of view, of excellence for the world.
