Praia, Aug 31 (Inforpress) – A Cabo Verdean delegation led by Prime Minister Ulisses Correia e Silva traveled to China on Thursday night to attend the China-Africa Cooperation Forum, which will take place from September 3 to 4 in Beijing.
Foreign Minister Luís Filipe Tavares highlighted the meeting in Beijing between the President of China and the head of the Cabo Verdean Government, in which the archipelago intends to present several “important” issues for the island development process.
Among these projects is the creation of the Special Economic Maritime Zone of São Vicente, the new maternity in the Baptista de Sousa Hospital in São Vicente, a national congress center and others.
“We will have a moment with the President of China, with our Prime Minister, we have several dossiers on the table, several important projects for Cabo Verde. There is a very strong confidence in relations between China and Cabo Verde and I believe that it will being a very important summit for Africa, we will discuss the themes of globalization, trade and investment”, added the Cabo Verdean diplomat.
