Baia das Gatas, Aug 13 (Inforpress) – At the dawn of today, this year’s edition of the Baia das Gatas International Music Festival, which received a “high note” from the public, has already prepared the next one and promises “great party” in 2019.
The words are from the mayor of São Vicente, organizer, who, for the 35th anniversary of the festival, which is celebrated next year, informed Inforpress that the first invitations are made, aiming at a show “equal or better” than that of this year, nevertheless refraining from advancing names.
Augusto Neves underlined the “greatness” of the 34th edition, which was closed at dawn tonight by Portuguese reggae man Richie Campbell, who, “as a whole”, he pointed out, exhibited a “program of excellence” in which “all the artists” presented themselves at a “fairly high” level.
“Great artists, great bands, a huge population, a huge movement and this is Mindelo economy”, said the mayor, who promises to “improve every year” the event to “potentiate this cultural vein” of the island and bring “better quality” and “more money” to families.
Neves agrees that each year the festival is “more demanding for quality”, so the City Hall will continue to work towards always presenting “a great product”.
