Porto Novo, Aug 22 (Inforpress) – Two thousand liters of grogue and derivatives produced at Tarrafal in Monte Trigo, Santo Antão, were exported in recent days to the European market, to France, confirmed producer Simão Évora.
The grogue and derivatives, “made in Tarrafal de Monte Trigo”, are being exported to Europe through the company Music and Grogue (M & G), with its headquarters in the countryside of the municipality of Porto Novo, which has been certified to allow it to export for international markets.
This company, which is dedicated to the conservation, promotion and commercialization of grogue, has been putting the product in the national market in recent months, and is now betting on the European market, starting with France, according to Simão Évora.
According to this producer, the great challenge of the grogue producers in Tarrafal de Monte Trigo is the certification of the product, in order to facilitate its insertion in the international markets.
Besides Europe, the grogue that is produced in Santo Antão have “some ease of disposal” also for the United States of America (USA).
