Porto Novo, Sep 20 (Inforpress) – The city of Porto Novo, Santo Antão, has known in recent months “significant improvements” in terms of energy coverage and public lighting, with the installation of new low voltage networks at of different emerging neighborhoods.
The latest project for the extension of low voltage networks included the Alto São Tomé Trás area, which was inaugurated on Wednesday night in a ceremony presided over by the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Sports, Fernando Elísio Freire.
For the installation of the kilometer and a half of distribution network, of the 500 meters of extensions comprising 53 dwellings and creation of 28 points of public lighting, the Electricity and Water (Electra) company invested three million escudos, according to the representative of this company in Santo Antão, Osvaldino Silva.
This official announced new projects for the peripheral neighborhoods of Chã de Vúva and chicken, as well as for the towns of Alto Mira and Bento (Ribeira das Patas), inside the municipality of Porto Novo.
