Espargos, May 9 (Inforpress) – Hotel Atlantico, on the Sal Island, is expected to be transformed into a School of Hospitality and Tourism and Civil Aeronautics, entering into operation still this year.
The announcement was made Monday by ASA’s chairman (PCA), Renato Lima, during a joint visit alongside the mayor Julio Lopes to the building and thus to comply with this rehabilitation project a “great population dream” and election campaign promise.
In accordance to the mayor Julio Lopes, after several years of “total amorphism” the City Hall and ASA had the courage to work in these last times “in an intensive way” so that today they could publicly announce the novelty.
“There is a wide perspective of rapid operationalization of this project so that the island can respond to pressing issues in the qualification of the tourism offer and the adaptation of ASA itself to the great challenges facing Cabo Verde in terms of business. Our perspective now is: problem-solution”, stressed the mayor.
Julio Lopes pointed out that from November this year, with the Luxembourg Cooperation support, City Hall and ASA, it will start the implementation of the first pole of the hotel and tourism component, thus transforming the Atlantico Hotel – there are many years disabled – into a “great school” of reference to serve the great challenges of the country in this field of action.
