In statements to the press, the president of the administrative board of Dr. Agostinho Neto Hospital, Júlio Andrade, made a positive assessment of what he considers to be an “advantageous” partnership for the country in relation to the provision of services in different types of specialty.

“For some years now, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been collaborating with Dr. Agostinho Neto Hospital in the ophthalmology, pediatrics and ortho-traumatology areas, as well as offering equipment”, he said.

According to Júlio Andrade, it is now a mission essentially to perform surgery in arthroscopy, a highly differentiated surgery and  also allows the training of the doctors of the HAN ortho-traumatology service.

In addition to helping patients, he said, it is a type of mission that has helped Dr. Agostinho Neto Hospital reduce dependence on the outside with the evacuation of patients.
