Mindelo, Aug 6 (Inforpress) – The Minister of Tourism and Transport said on Friday in Mindelo that the international tender for inter-island transport concessions will continue, according to José Gonçalves, who will not expect any “drawdown” imposed by a national company.
José Gonçalves reacted thus to the press in Mindelo to the announcement made by the Palm Shipping Lines comapny, wich will submit an injunction in the Court requesting the suspension of the international tender for inter-island maritime transport concession.
A decision was taken due to deliberation by the Cabo Verde Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (ARAP), which dismissed the appeal filed by the joint venture formed by the Cabo Verdean company Palm Shipping Lines, together with its Dutch partner Tschudi Ship Management.
“All the procedures have been respected and the ARAP has already pronounced that there was no substance to object this”, said the minister to whom, although things have to run its course, we will proceed with the tender.
