Praia, May 21 (Inforpress) – Prices of imported products fell by 0.9 percent (%) in April this year, down 1.3 percentage points (pp) from the previous month, reported today the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
Through its Foreign Trade Index, INE also informs that the monthly rate of change in the prices of exported products stood at 1.0% in April, 1.5 pp higher than last month.
The monthly rate of change registered by the Terms of Exchange Index, on the other hand, was 2.0%, which is 2.2 pps higher than in the previous month.
According to the document, the categories contributing to the fall in import prices were intermediate goods (-4.7%), other primary products (-30.5%), capital goods (-13.5%), and fuels (-1.6%).
