Praia, Aug 22 (Inforpress) – Cabo Verde Telecom SA (CVTelecom) today made a donation of 500.000 escudos and a blood bag agitator to the Agostinho Neto Hospital for the acquisition of equipment to qualify the blood bank services.
During the signing of the donation agreement, José Luís Livramento, Chairman of CVTelecom’s Board of Directors, pointed out that this is a continuous partnership, with the “aim of ensuring a good performance of HAN”, but also to ensure that all Cabo Verdeans have “excellent service conditions” provided by the entity.
“This is the second time we are here to sign the agreement. Today we are to renew and deliver, symbolically, the amount for the acquisition of blood equipment. Therefore, I reaffirm here that this cooperation is ready to continue, for the sake of the good performance of the hospital, but also the health of Cabo Verdeans”, he said.
The CVTelecom CEO also pointed out that this initiative is a policy of the telecommunications company, with a view to “social responsibility” to the population, indicating areas such as sport, education and health as the which assigns financial and technical support.
On the other hand, the clinical director of the Hospital Agostinho Neto, Victor Costa, recognized the importance of CVTelecom’s role in supporting the hospital entity, in order to contribute to the improvement of the blood bank’s service conditions and, at the same time, to the performance of the technicians in their functions.
