Praia, Aug 29 (Inforpress) – The Bons Amigos Association wants to create the concept of responsible community and units in each neighborhood of the City of Praia, in order to reduce the canine population in the country’s capital.
The information was provided to Inforpress by the association’s responsible technician, Madueno Cardoso, who spoke about the center for treatment and protection of the street’s animals, expected to go into operation at the end of September.
With 3.500 square meters and 750 of built area, the structure, according to the technician, will have the clinical part with rooms for animal accommodation, surgeries, consultations, X-ray, infectious-contagious hospitalization, analysis, administrative area, multi-purpose room, awareness-raising, conference and hostile actions to welcome street dogs and promote responsible donations.
He explained that the structure will come into operation at the end of September, from Monday to Monday, with 24-hour urgencies and a total of nine employees, namely a veterinarian, four senior technicians and four auxiliary technicians.
