Boa Vista is poorly served in the health field, mayor José Luís Santos

Sal-Rei, July 4 (Inforpress) – The mayor of Boa Vista today challenged the government to construct  a hospital in the island because the island is  “very poorly served” in the health sector and “urgently needs treatment of shock “.

During the solemn municipal session that marks the Municipality Day of Boa Vista, José Luís Santos made the Minister of Health, Arlindo do Rosário, present at the event, understand that the island is calling for a new hospital that promotes its development and serves its population.

In the radiographs of the nine months in office, completed today, he also indicated the housing problem as one of the “greatest challenges” facing the municipality, claiming that the deficit at the moment is around 2000 houses.

In this chapter he expressed his concern, in a clear way to the Government, that it is not enough just to approve projects to build hotel units on the island, when the municipality needs more housing, water, energy, education, health and safety, among other means indispensable for its viability.
